Glendale was known mostly for its mall, but this community on the outskirts of Denver is now recognized for much more and is quickly establishing itself as the place to go for something a little different. As the town is surrounded by beautiful nature, you may go for a hike in the nearby mountains, where you will find rocky terrain covered with wildflowers. Hiking and biking are other popular activities in the area, particularly in one of the city’s parks.
If you want to stay in town, there are a variety of interesting galleries and museums to visit. And as the sun goes down, there is live music and a variety of food options all across the city.
How Do You Get From Denver Airport To Glendale?
Whether you’re visiting Glendale for vacation or for business, you’ll need to figure out how to get from point A to point B. Unless you are visiting family, you will almost certainly have to pick between renting a car and using the local transportation.
TRANSPORTATION BY BUS
“There is no direct bus service from Denver Airport (DEN) to Glendale. There are buses, however, that depart from Denver Airport Station Gate 9 and arrive at Leetsdale Dr & S Cherry St via Nine Mile Station Gate F. The total travel time, including transfers, is around 1h 7m.”
Traveling by bus is inexpensive and (usually) simple, but it has drawbacks. Buses are often packed and it’s a slow way to get from Denver Airport to Glendale. So, be prepared for the fact that your personal choices will not be taken into account. Moreover, you will be at the mercy of the system.
TRANSPORTATION BY TRAIN
“There is no direct train available at this route. However, you can take the train from Denver Airport Station to 40th & Colorado Station Track 2. From there you can take a bus to S Colorado Blvd & Cherry Creek N Dr. The distance between Glendale and Denver International Airport (DEN) is 23 miles. The train route from Glendale to Denver International Airport takes approximately 45 minutes.”
With no turbulence, no traffic, and none of the strange smells associated with bus travels, taking the train can actually be a pleasurable way to travel. However, it has its own set of drawbacks. Since trains are the cheapest mode of transportation, it is difficult to find suitable bookings. So the train transport is not suitable in cases of emergency especially if you are about to take a flight.
