Empower Field at Mile High

Empower Field at Mile High, located in Denver, stands at an elevation of 5,280 feet above sea level. This makes it a unique feature is known worldwide. It also honors the traditions of the original Mile High Stadium as one of the most beloved stadiums in the National Football League. 

Empower Field at Mile High is home to the Denver Broncos. Moreover winners of the American Football Conference championships and three Super Bowls. This incredible football team was home to many NFL greats like John Elway, Peyton Manning, and Mark Schlereth.

The stadium boasts unobstructed views for 76,125 fans across five levels of seating. Moreover, it includes 8,200 club seats and 144 luxury suites. Moreover, the stadium only seats two more fans yet is more than twice as large as the original stadium.

Folsom Field

Folsom Field is an outdoor college football stadium located in Boulder and is home to the Colorado Buffaloes of the Pac-12 Conference. The horseshoe-shaped stadium features a backdrop of sweeping views of the flatirons.

This field was opened in 1924 and sits at an elevation of 5,360 feet above sea level, just slightly higher than Empower Field at Mile High. Renovations expanded the stadium raising the height to allow seating to increase from 26,000 to 45,000. 

Nottingham Field

The University of Northern Colorado Greeley hosts the Bears football games at Nottingham Field and the track and field programs. The UNC Bears have won two national titles playing at Nottingham Fields. 

It was built in 1995 to relieve the aging facilities at Jackson field. The initial capacity at the stadium was initially 6,500, but in 2005 the capacity was expanded by expanding the east seats. 

Mountaineer Bowl

Home to The Western Colorado Mountaineers of Western Colorado University in Gunnison Colorado of NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. 

Sitting at 7,750 feet above sea level ranks as the highest collegiate football field in the world. It can comfortably seat 4,000 fans, with more room for fans to watch sports hillsides. The Bowl looks over the Gunnison Valley, looking at Curecanti National Recreation Area with sweeping views over several of Colorado’s peaks that reach heights over 14,000 feet. 

The stadium was completed in 1948. Moreover, the Western Colorado University broke in the new stadium with a 20-0 victory over the Colorado School of Mines. The Mountaineers hold a record for winning RMAC 19 conference championship. 

Ray Dennison Memorial Field

In NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports, the Fort Lewis Skyhawks call Ray Dennison Memorial Field their home and represent Fort Lewis College, located in Durango, Colorado. The field can hold up to 4,000 fans, but they have managed to squeeze in as many as 6,000 fans for key games. 

The stadium was named in honor of a former Fort Lewis A&M Aggies football player who suffered life-ending injuries on September 26, 1955, after a head injury occurred during a game against Trinidad State Junior College. Construction of the field began in 1958 with the first game held in the fall of 1959. The field is used for the lacrosse team as well. 

Ralph Stocker Stadium

Ralph Stocker Stadium is owned by the city of Grand Junction, Colorado. Moreover, it is the stadium in use by the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks. The stadium is also home to the Grand Junction Gladiators, a semi-pro minor league football team. Moreover, a whole host of other local events. 

Opening in 1949, Ralph Stocker Stadium can hold up to 8,000 fans. It underwent major renovations to create lighting ready for TV, expanded the seating area. Moreover, adding a new press box, luxury suite, restrooms, and concession stands. So in order to make the visit more enjoyable and ready for the big games. 

Falcon Stadium

Located at the U.S. Air Force Academy near Colorado Springs, the Falcon stadium is the home field of the Air Force Falcons of the Mountain West Conference. With a picturesque setting at the Rampart Range of the Rocky Mountains base, Falcon Stadium ranks high on the list of premier college football stadiums in America.

The Air Force had played games at various sites near the campus until Falcon Stadium opened in 1962 with a seating capacity of 46,692 people. The first game ever played at Falcon Stadium was an excited 34-0 blowout against Colorado State.
