Visitors can select from The Lodge and Spa at Brush Creek Ranch, Magee Homestead, and French Creek Sportsman’s Club.

You can explore the inner workings of the farm, from the Medicine Bow Creamery to the free-roaming Waygu cattle. This guide will go over everything Brush Creek Ranch has to offer and why this could be your next great escape.

History of Brush Creek Ranch

Brush Creek Ranch has rich pioneer history stemming from the 1800s when pioneers made their way west, establishing homesteads along the way. For hundreds of years, the hot springs have been drawing people to Saratoga, Wyoming. It was a prime location for Native Americans and soon frontiersmen as they made their way west.

The Sterrett established the original Brush Creek Ranch homestead in 1884 using wood from the nearby Medicine Bow National Forest. Visitors of the ranch will find an homage to the ranch’s history everywhere they look melded gracefully with plenty of modern-day amenities.

All About the Farm and Working Ranch

Tending to the working ranch is an enormous task. The ranch oversees two cattle herds. One herd of Waygu dedicated to the culinary program offered at the ranch, and one heard of Corriente cattle dedicated to drive and breed calves that arrive late in the spring.

There are just about 120 horses on the ranch for visitors to ride and 20 horses trained to be workers for the agricultural team to help tend to the livestock.

The farm offers a wealth of fully immersive adventures. Many of the locations at the farm offer immersive tours and experiences like no other.

Visit the Brush Creek Cellar, enjoy a large selection of wine from every corner of the world, and pair it with some of the finest cheeses crafted from the Medicine Bow Creamery.

Take a cooking class at the Cheyenne Club, where a cooking demonstration for up to six guests can be enjoyed while learning about a dish’s key elements.

Travel back in time to a speakeasy-like establishment that is the Spirit Vault, where you can only gain entrance through a secret entrance. Enjoy over 100 selections of exceptionally rare whiskey kept behind lock and key.

Tour the Brush Creek Greenhouse and enjoy learning about the basics of the inner workings of the greenhouse and how they care for and grow over 100,000 pounds of produce for The Farm and local businesses.

Visit the Brush Creek Creamery and meet the sweet herds of goats that help support the creamery. Enjoy a pasture walk and get a behind-the-scenes look at the goat operation.

Enjoy the bakery and create delicious pastries and baked goods, or take a family baking class and create messy fun memories.
